About Voidroad
Our Vision
Voidroad is a love letter to the golden age of text-based MMOs — reimagined for the modern era. We believe the most immersive worlds are built in your imagination, not on your GPU. Every mechanic is designed around one principle: realism. If it wouldn't work in the real world, it doesn't work in Voidroad.
Realism Principles
- Food doesn't appear from thin air. Cook it or buy it.
- Resources are finite. Rare ones are truly rare.
- Seasons matter. Winter changes everything.
- Distance is real. Plan your journeys.
- Tools break. Maintain them or replace them.
- Nothing is free. Every action costs time and energy.
- Trade is essential. No one can do everything alone.
- Death is real. 16 hours without food means coma.
- Knowledge isn't given. You learn by exploring.
- Minimum wage exists. Worker rights are protected.
